Methenolone Acetate is a very popular oral steroid commonly known as Primobolan. The popularity is due in part to this compound's cult status attained after a few 70s mega-star bodybuilders proclaimed this drug to be incredible and also because this compound is known to be very easy on your body's organs and hormone profiles. Methenolone is also one of few steroids where the identical parent compound is available in both oral and injectable form with the only difference between the two being the ester attached. Oral Methenolone has an acetate ester attached and is non-17-alpha-alkylated. Therefore, methenolone acetate is considered to be non-toxic to the liver. The drawback to having a non-17-alpha-alkylated oral compound is that the efficacy of the drug is reduced thereby requiring larger doses. Daily dosing of this compound is necessary due to a short half-life and dosages of 100 mgs for men and 25 mgs for women are common. Even though methenolone acetate is known to be a mild compound, at these doses, users should expect HPTA suppression.

Methenolone acetate is considered a good fat burner due in part to it's high affinity for binding to the androgen receptor. As such a strong androgen binding compound, methenolone is sometimes used to treat breast tumors and should not require an anti-estrogen. Unfortunately, the same androgenic effects of methenolone acetate may result in hairloss so users sensitive to this side effect should consider concurrent administration of finasteride.
